For practitioner dispensing and professionally guided use.
Always read the label and follow the directions for use.
Do not use if you are allergic to Grindelia or another plant in the Asteraceae family.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not recommended unless specifically directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner. Safety has not been established for these groups.
The established traditional-use guidance is for adults and older people. Do not give this 60% ethanol practitioner extract to children or adolescents unless it has been individually prescribed with an age-appropriate dosage.
Consult your healthcare practitioner before use if you have asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis, heart disease or another diagnosed respiratory condition.
Do not stop or replace prescribed inhalers, antibiotics, corticosteroids or other respiratory medicines while taking Grindelia unless directed by the prescribing healthcare professional.
Consult your practitioner before combining Grindelia with sedatives, benzodiazepines, sleeping medicines or other central nervous system depressants. Current MediHerb interaction guidance notes a possible additive sedative effect at high Grindelia doses, although the assessed risk is low or theoretical.
Seek prompt medical advice if symptoms worsen or if shortness of breath, high fever or thick discoloured mucus develops. European monograph guidance specifically identifies breathing difficulty, high fever and purulent sputum as reasons for immediate professional review.
Seek medical assessment for cough lasting longer than two to three weeks, even when the cough began with an ordinary cold.
Coughing up any blood requires prompt medical advice. Call triple zero for a large amount of blood or when coughing blood occurs with chest pain or breathing difficulty.
Call triple zero for severe breathing difficulty, blue lips, marked drowsiness, inability to speak in full sentences or a serious asthma flare-up that does not respond to reliever medicine.
Discontinue use at least seven days before general anaesthesia unless otherwise directed by your healthcare professional.
Contains ethanol.
Keep out of reach of children.
