Brocafect® Tablets combine powerful herbs traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to combat common cold symptoms and relieve mild bronchial coughs. With ingredients like Echinacea, Licorice, and White Hornehound, this formula is designed to support respiratory health by decreasing excess mucus and soothing the respiratory tract. It is ideal for short-term use during seasonal changes or when experiencing cold symptoms. 

  • Echinacea root is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to decrease common cold symptoms, including sneezing, cough, runny nose, and general malaise.
  • Pleurisy Root, Licorice, White Horehound, and Thyme are expectorants traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to clear excess respiratory tract mucus.
  • Licorice root is used in traditional Western herbal medicine as a demulcent, antitussive, and antispasmodic to relieve mild bronchial coughs.
  • Pleurisy Root and Ginger root are traditionally used in Western herbal medicine as diaphoretics to promote sweating and reduce fever.


Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice) root extract 107 mg (extract equivalent to dry root 750 mg); Echinacea purpurea root extract 750 µL (extract equivalent to dry root 375 mg); Asclepias tuberosa (Pleurisy root) root extract 750 µL (extract equivalent to dry root 375 mg); Zingiber officinale (Ginger) rhizome extract 6 mg (extract equivalent to dry rhizome 180 mg); Marrubium vulgare (White horehound) herb extract 360 µL (extract equivalent to dry herb 180 mg); Thymus vulgaris (Thyme) flowering herb essential oil 10 mg.

Adults: 1 tablet 4-8 times daily. This product is intended for short-term use, not exceeding 8 weeks.


Calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycollate.

  • No Added: Gluten, soya bean, milk, lactose, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, crustacea, egg, sesame seeds, or artificial colours.
  • Vegan friendly.
  • Contraindicated in pregnancy and conditions such as hypertension, oedema, and those on diuretics.
  • Caution is advised in patients receiving prednisolone or midazolam by injection and those on warfarin or albendazole.
  • Contraindicated in patients taking nifedipine.
  • Caution for patients on blood thinners like warfarin or aspirin, especially with high doses of ginger.
  • Use ginger cautiously with antacids or drugs like crizotinib.
  • Contraindicated in patients taking immunosuppressant medication.
  • Long-term use caution in patients on antihypertensive medications, digoxin, and potassium-depleting drugs.
  • Children under two years should only use this with medical advice.
  • Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia.
  • Short-term use is recommended, not exceeding 8 weeks.
