Vira-Immune Complex is formulated with herbs traditionally used in Western herbal medicine as an expectorant, demulcent, antitussive, and antispasmodic to help manage mild bronchial cough and support overall lung health. This blend also offers anti-inflammatory benefits to further support respiratory wellness.

Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice) root extract 167 mg (derived from minimum dry root 2.9 g, standardised to contain glycyrrhizinic acid 30 mg); Hypericum perforatum (St John’s Wort) flowering herb extract 225 mg (derived from minimum dry flowering tops 1.4 g, standardised to contain hypericin 675 micrograms); Thuja occidentalis (Thuja) leaf extract 1 mL (derived from dry leaf 200 mg).

Adults: Take 1 tablet 3 times daily.


Calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, croscarmellose sodium, dextrin, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycollate.

  • No Added: Gluten, soya bean, milk, lactose, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, crustacea, egg, sesame seeds, or artificial colours.

  • St John's Wort affects the way many prescription medicines work. Please consult with the prescribing doctor to ensure no drug-herb interactions occur.
  • Caution is advised in patients taking other medications, including combined oral contraceptives.
  • Contraindicated during pregnancy, lactation, in hypertension, and oedema.
  • May cause hyperaesthesia in some sensitive individuals, especially when combined with a high exposure to sunlight.
  • St John's Wort is not advisable in cases of known photosensitivity and in those taking photosensitizing agents. Patients taking high doses should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and UV radiation.
  • Contraindicated with the following drugs: thiazide or loop diuretics, warfarin, digoxin, immunosuppressive drugs such as cyclosporin, indinavir (HIV protease inhibitor), nevirapine (HIV non-nucleoside transcriptase inhibitor), docetaxel by injection, phenprocoumon, nifedipine, methadone, finasteride, clozapine, cancer chemotherapeutic drugs such as irinotecan, and calcium channel antagonists such as verapamil.
  • Caution is advised in patients receiving prednisolone by injection and in those with elevated liver enzymes taking immunosuppressives.
  • Avoid long-term use in patients taking antihypertensive medications and potassium-depleting drugs, and place patients on a high-potassium diet.
  • Consume at least two hours away from ingestion of mineral supplements.
  • Not to be used in children under five years of age.
  • Discontinue 7 days before general anaesthesia.
  • If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice.
