  • Common dosage range: 50 mg – 300 mg per day. Begin at the low end and increase only if required under practitioner guidance.
  • Can be taken with or without food.
  • The conversion of 5-HTP relies on sufficient activated vitamin B6; concomitant B6 may be beneficial.

Excipients: Capsules — Microcrystalline Cellulose, Hypromellose (capsule), Colloidal Anhydrous Silica. Powder — none.

  • Gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, yeast-free, soy-free, sugar-free; vegan friendly.
  • Contraindicated with SSRIs or other serotonin-modifying medications.
  • Reduce or discontinue if dizziness, agitation, tremor, tachycardia or diarrhoea occur.
  • Not extensively tested during pregnancy or lactation; use may be avoided unless a practitioner is confident of safety.
