METHYL FACTORS FAQSCommon Questions About Methyl Factors
What is MediHerb Methyl Factors used for?

MediHerb Methyl Factors is a nutritional formula designed to support folate and methyl B12 levels within the normal range, neurotransmitter synthesis, red blood cell health, energy production and general wellbeing.

What makes Methyl Factors different from a general B complex?

Methyl Factors is more targeted than a broad B complex. It contains methylfolate, methyl B12, riboflavin-5-phosphate, activated vitamin B6, choline and green tea extract, making it focused on methylation-related nutrient support, antioxidant activity and energy metabolism.

Does Methyl Factors contain methylated folate and B12?

Yes. Methyl Factors contains levomefolate calcium, equivalent to levomefolic acid, along with methyl vitamin B12 as mecobalamin. These are active forms used in targeted folate and B12 support formulas.

Does Methyl Factors support energy production?

Yes. Methyl Factors contains B vitamins that support energy production and general health. It is not a stimulant energy product, although it does contain a small amount of naturally occurring caffeine from green tea extract.

Does Methyl Factors support mood or nervous system function?

Methyl Factors assists in the synthesis of neurotransmitters and supports general nervous system-related nutrient needs. It is not intended to treat mood disorders, and persistent mood or mental health concerns should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.

Does Methyl Factors contain caffeine?

Yes. Methyl Factors contains 12 mg of caffeine per daily dose from green tea extract. For comparison, a cup of instant coffee contains around 80 mg of caffeine. Customers who are sensitive to caffeine should take this into account.

How do I take Methyl Factors?

Adults are generally directed to take 1 tablet daily, or as advised by a healthcare professional. Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

Can I take Methyl Factors with iron supplements?

If you have anaemia or require iron supplementation, do not take Methyl Factors at the same time as meals or iron supplements. Separate the timing and follow the advice of your healthcare professional.

Are there any important medicine cautions with Methyl Factors?

Yes. Caution is advised for people taking immunosuppressive medicines such as cyclosporin, and it should not be taken at the same time as these medicines. Caution is also advised for people taking statin medicines. Speak with your healthcare professional before use if you take regular medication.

Are there any other warnings with Methyl Factors?

Methyl Factors is for adults only. It contains vitamin B6, so stop use and seek professional advice if you experience tingling, burning or numbness. Caffeine intake above 200 mg per day is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discontinue use 7 days before general anaesthesia, and remember that vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
